1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Le's Geckos website (lesgeckos.com) and purchasing any products or services offered herein, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or place any orders. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time; continued use of the site following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
2. Products — Live Animals
Le's Geckos sells captive-bred exotic reptiles, primarily crested geckos (Correlophus ciliatus), along with related supplies. All animals are captive bred — never wild-caught — and are sold as described on individual product listings.
Subject to Prior Sale: All live animals are listed on a first-come, first-served basis. An animal is considered sold only upon receipt of full payment. Listing an animal in your cart does not reserve it. If an animal sells between the time you add it to your cart and complete checkout, we will notify you promptly and issue a full refund.
All animals are individually photographed and described. Minor color variations between photographs and the actual animal may occur due to lighting, age, and natural color development. We do our best to represent each animal accurately.
3. Pricing & Payment
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars. Prices are subject to change without notice. Payment is processed securely through Snipcart and Stripe. We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover). Full payment is required at the time of purchase — we do not offer payment plans or layaway unless explicitly agreed upon in writing.
Sales tax may be applied where required by applicable law. Florida residents may be subject to applicable state sales tax on reptile-related merchandise.
4. Shipping
Live animals are shipped via FedEx Priority Overnight with live delivery guaranteed. We ship Monday through Thursday to ensure animals do not sit in a FedEx facility over the weekend. Shipping is available to the contiguous 48 U.S. states only unless otherwise arranged.
Weather Holds:We reserve the right to delay shipment if weather conditions at either the origin (South Florida) or destination pose a risk to the animal's health. In such cases, we will contact you to arrange a suitable shipping date. No additional charges apply for weather holds.
Shipping Costs: Live animal shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on destination. You are responsible for ensuring someone is available to receive the package on the scheduled delivery date.
Live Arrival Guarantee: We guarantee live delivery on all animals shipped via our standard overnight shipping. If an animal arrives deceased, you must contact us within one (1) hour of the FedEx-confirmed delivery time, provide clear photographs of the animal in the unopened shipping container and the packaging, and retain all packaging materials. Failure to follow this procedure voids the live arrival guarantee. In the event of a DOA claim that meets these requirements, we will offer a replacement animal of equal value (subject to availability) or store credit.
5. Seven-Day Health Guarantee
All animals sold by Le's Geckos are guaranteed to be in good health at the time of shipment. We offer a 7-day health guarantee beginning on the confirmed delivery date. If your animal exhibits signs of a pre-existing illness within this period, please contact us at (954) 309-6640 or via our contact page.
To be eligible under the health guarantee, the animal must be housed under appropriate husbandry conditions (proper temperature, humidity, enclosure size, diet, and supplementation). Claims must include a written description of symptoms, photographs or video, and, if possible, a written assessment from a licensed reptile veterinarian. We are not responsible for illness resulting from improper husbandry after the animal leaves our care.
6. Returns & Refunds
Due to the nature of live animals, all sales are final. We do not accept returns of live animals. In the event of a valid DOA or health guarantee claim as described above, our liability is limited to a replacement animal of equal value or store credit — we do not issue cash refunds for live animal purchases.
For non-live merchandise (supplies, accessories), unused items in original condition may be returned within 14 days of delivery for a refund of the purchase price, less shipping costs. Contact us before returning any merchandise to receive a return authorization.
7. User Conduct
You agree not to use this website to: (a) violate any applicable local, state, federal, or international law or regulation; (b) transmit any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising or promotional material; (c) impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity; (d) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the website or its related systems; or (e) engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use or enjoyment of the website.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including but not limited to text, photographs, graphics, logos, and video, is the property of Le's Geckos or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on this site without express written permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Le's Geckos, its owners, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of this website or the purchase of any products, including but not limited to the death of an animal after delivery due to improper husbandry, acts of God, or carrier delays beyond our control.
Our maximum aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to a purchase shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific order giving rise to the claim.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Broward County, Florida.
